Animal Rebellion protesters were thrown out of the Heston Blumenthal restaurant in Knightsbridge after the group arrived at the eatery to “occupy the venue.” The protesters said they targeted that restaurant because it exemplified the broken system.

Earlier, members of Animal Rebellion had attacked House of Tides, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Newcastle, and warned of further action in the coming weeks. Likewise, the protesters had also targeted Nusr-Et steakhouse in Knightsbridge, London, and Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in Chelsea.

One of the protesters said restaurants like Heston Blumenthal charge exuberant charges for animal products harmful to the environment, catering only to the top 1%. A video of the incident doing rounds on social media shows two protesters being literally dragged out of the restaurant. A protester said they were carried out quickly and heckled with “grow up” chants as they were dragged.
