Do you want to make a difference for animals this Giving Tuesday? Follow these 4 easy actions to help create a future for farmed animals where they are respected and protected!
Giving Tuesday started out as a simple idea: a day to encourage people to do good. Over the years, it has grown into a global movement that has inspired people to support the causes they care most about.
Whether you make a monetary contribution, volunteer your time, or share a petition on social media, every action you can take on Giving Tuesday (November 29, 2022) will make a big difference for animals.
Why Should I Support Animal Equality?
Farmed animals are some of the most forgotten animals. Right now, mother pigs are confined in tiny crates. They are unable to move or nurture their babies.
Chickens are unable to stand under their unnaturally large weight, as farms genetically breed these animals to grow to enormous sizes quickly.
Cows on dairy farms are put through the painful cycle of being forcibly impregnated and then torn away from their calves throughout their entire lives. This is just so the milk will end up in supermarkets instead of feeding their babies.
All of this is happening right now in the US and most people don’t even know about it. Did you?
Each year, over 70 billion land animals—like chickens, pigs, and cows—are bred and killed for human consumption around the world. Despite these staggering numbers, donations made to help them account for less than 1% of all donations to animal charities.
This is why Giving Tuesday and the opportunity to have your gift matched are so important. Your contribution will be doubled to protect the lives of farmed animals and help create a world where they don’t have to suffer.
At Animal Equality, we are committed to creating a better world for farmed animals. We achieve this through groundbreaking investigations, corporate campaigns, and legal advocacy. With our supporters, we are making history for animals every day.
This year, we have made historic progress for animals. We helped pass a ban on the killing of male chicks in Italy, which will impact approximately 35 million chicks every year. We held the world’s largest food service provider in the world accountable, resulting in a strong animal welfare policy to protect mother pigs from extreme confinement in the US. We helped Hidalgo become the first state in Mexico to dedicate a chapter of the law to protect farmed animals. And so much more!
The lives of over 166 million animals have changed because of our work so far this year! But we will not rest until every animal is respected and protected.
Your support will allow us to continue documenting the shocking reality of factory farming and share it with the world. It will give our campaigners the resources they need to deliver a better future for farmed animals. It will inspire even more people like you to fight for animals.
The world will not change overnight, but our supporters show that we can change the world for animals with dedication and perseverance.
Animals need people who will stand by them even in hard times…Will that person be you?

If you are looking for something to do right now, you can make a difference for animals with just a few clicks!
Animal Equality recently released an international campaign to call for the end of horse slaughter.
Every year in the US, nearly 30,000 horses are transported from the US to Mexico and Canada to be killed for their meat. Many are forced to travel in cramped conditions without food or water for more than 24 hours.
While 85% of US citizens oppose the slaughter of horses for their meat, most people don’t realize that American horses are being killed outside our borders for human consumption. This hypocrisy must end!
Over 100,000 people around the world have already taken action to ensure that horses don’t suffer in silence. Join them and Animal Equality in demanding that the US Government passes a permanent ban on the exportation and slaughter of American horses—sign the petition now!
4. Leave Their Suffering off Your Plate
There are nearly 25 million animals—like cows, pigs, and chickens—killed for meat, dairy, and eggs in the US every day. From the moment they are born until they are slaughtered, these animals suffer on factory farms. They are abused, mutilated, forced to live in extreme confinement inside windowless facilities, and killed in painful ways.
These living, feeling beings do not deserve this fate! But you can do your part not to contribute to this exploitation. By choosing plant-based alternatives, you are helping fight against an industry that only values profits while animals suffer.
