TETERBORO — Dogs, cats and rabbits will be looking for their forever homes this weekend at Bergen County Animal Shelter’s Clear the Shelter event.

This weekend you can meet Forrest, a Siberian Huskey mix, who is friendly and loyal or Wanda, a Jersey Wooley rabbit who prefers a home with children.

The shelter, located at 100 United Lane, in Teterboro, will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Bergen County Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter that can hold up to 425 animals including 105 dogs. The shelter is busier than normal this time of year because of kittens that are old enough for adoption, Amanda Karpinski, a county information officer said.

There are almost 40 pets ready for adoption that can be viewed on Pet Finder to see special characteristics about each.

The adoption fee for a dog is $150, a kitten $100 and a rabbit $35.
