The Flynn Creek Circus comes to Eureka July 27 to 30 with a superstar line-up in its all-new show, “Desert Myth.”

This animal-free circus is sponsored locally by Arcata Playhouse and will take under the big top at the Eureka Bayfront, First and D streets.

A circus camp for kids and an “adults only” show will also be offered during the group’s stay in Humboldt County.

“Desert Myth” is an acrobatic thrill ride that draws on a rich history of traditional folklore. Flynn Creek Circus’ distinctive presentation is marked by high comedy, modern creativity and playful absurdity. This new lighthearted, comedic tale reflects a thirst for truth in a desolate land of well meaning “mis-guides.” The animal-free show is put on by circus artists from Ukraine, Canada and the United States.

The circus is accompanied by a circus camp from July 26 to 28 for children ages 7 to 15.  Kids will learn aerial, juggling and parkour skills with a three-day workshop that will culminate in a public recital in the big top tent. All skill levels are welcome.  More information and registration can be found at flynncreekcircus.com.

In addition to the family friendly showings and the interactive camp program, Flynn Creek Circus also is presenting its “Adults Only Show,” boasting outrageous acts, dark comedy and an infamous party atmosphere at selected show times. Spectators for all showings are invited to the tent to experience the magic up to 40 minutes before each show. The event will offer beer, wine and light concession for purchase and include a 15minute intermission during the two-hour show.

Tickets for Flynn Creek Circus are now available for purchase online at flynncreekcircus.com. Individual ticket prices start at $18 or table reservation options start at $81 for two attendees.

Flynn Creek Circus was founded in 2002 as a rurally-based, internationally sourced, circus-theater company. Since then Flynn Creek Circus continues to offer entertainment to all ages and opportunity to exceptional artists.
