vanga Reddy’s Animal which as per many insiders is one of the most violent films of Sandeep and Ranbir’s career. The film also has a stellar support cast in Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and
Rashmika Mandana
.
The film was scheduled to release on August 11 where it was to clash with Gadar 2. But the makers later decided to move to 1st December as the work on post production was not complete. Director Sandeep in a video released by him shared the reason for the delay .
“I’m making this video for two reasons. One is that I’m going to explain why we aren’t able to achieve the film release on August 11. And another one is that I’m going to announce the new release date. Coming back to the topic of why we are not able to release the film on August 11, the only reason is, and it might sound like a generic answer, the quality. See, I’m not going to explain to you how the post-production work has been delayed as it might bore you. I’ll cut it short. I’ll give you one example,” Sandeep said.
He added , ”There are seven songs in the film, when seven songs multiply into five languages it becomes 35 songs. 35 songs, different set of lyricists, a different set of singers, it’s going to take a little more time than what I actually planned for.”
But we are learning thanks to a report by Pinkvilla that the makers of the film are working on a teaser of the film that will be released on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday 28th September. It will be a gift to Ranbir and to his fans.Which means promotion of the film will begin at least 2 months before the release of the film. Trade is very gung ho about the film and is expecting tremendous business for the film.
The film when announced had Parineeti Chopra attached to it, but later she dropped out of the film and was replaced by Rashmika.Ranbir also would be eagerly waiting for the film as he hasn’t signed on any other project after the release of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar.
The synopsis of the film reads as ‘A gangster drama that explores the turbulent relationships between all the characters that eventually lead to the protagonist becoming an ‘animal’ in nature.’
