There are plans in the works for a new animal shelter in Cohasset.
Secretary Roberta Yates says, “Once the land was conveyed to us by the city, we started to work with architect and he drew up initial design for this building. And that put us in gear to move forward with fundraising so that we can get started on a building in a couple of years”
Great tails animal rescue currently operates an in-home foster program animals, but they want to be able to run a shelter program as well. So they are taking steps to make this a reality. Cohasset has set aside six acres of land for them. Leaders of the non-profit share how it began, and what it means to have a future home.
