Excited with the collaboration Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal share, “Only a filmmaker can understand the herculean task of making and releasing a film. Having witnessed the journey of Dukaan from the first solo hoarding to agreeing to be a part of the trailer launch, the blockbuster director and a very dear friend Sandeep Reddy Vanga was indeed the best person to kick-start our campaign. It’s an honour and privilege for Dukaan.”

The director duo has earlier worked with Vanga on his directorial Kabir Singh as dialogue writers and as lyricists of the song Satranga from Animal. They have been associated with films like Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Raabta, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Batti Gul Meter Chaalu, as screenwriters and have also done lyrics for films like Bajirao Mastani (Pinga, Deewani Mastani, Mohe Rang Do Laal), Padmaavat (Nainowale Ne) among others.

Talking about their upcoming film, the duo shares, “Dukaan is an entertaining, emotional cinematic roller coaster ride into vibrant Gujarat based in the world of commercial surrogacy. It’s the story of a local vagabond girl, Jasmine. Through her lens the film raises some important questions about respect, freedom of choice and free will of women who choose surrogacy as a profession.” The film stars Monika Panwar as the protagonist and also features Sikandar Kher, Monali Thakur, Vrajesh Hirjee in interesting roles.
