Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga says industry is hostile to ‘outsiders’ like him | Hindi Movie News

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has created a cult following for himself with past films like Arjun Reddy/ Kabir Singh and Animal. The controversial director has now hit out at the industry and mentioned that it is hostile towards outsiders like him. He gave an example of awards shows, which according to him are platforms to promote their own people, rather than welcoming outsiders with fresh ideas.

In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Vanga stated that he prefers not to come across as overly complaintive, hence opts to keep silent about his industry experiences. He drew a parallel to typical animal behavior, contrasting it with the tendency to resist anyone encroaching on your territory. Giving examples of award shows, he mentioned that awards shows promote their own friends and everyone knows what award shows are like.
He added that he can narrate stories for the entire night about what he had to face over the last 4 years with his films Kabir SIngh and Animal, but he doesn’t want to sulk like a baby.
Vanga’s recent two films collectively grossed over Rs 1200 crore worldwide, solidifying his status as one of the most successful filmmakers in his generation. Throughout his career, he has exclusively collaborated with A-list stars. Nevertheless, critical acclaim has remained elusive for him.
