An old video of ‘Animal’ actor Manjot Singh has resurfaced, depicting his courageous act of preventing a girl from attempting suicide in 2019. While gaining fame for his role alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Manjot’s earlier heroic act has now gone viral, shedding light on his brave past.Before his foray into acting, Manjot was a fourth-year BTech student at Sharda University, where he heroically saved an 18-year-old girl attempting suicide on the second-floor terrace of Sharda Hospital. Amidst her altercation with her mother, the girl was perched on the ledge when Manjot intervened, swiftly grasping her arm in a life-saving moment.
Despite the girl’s resistance and threats, Manjot engaged her in conversation, attempting to understand her distress. Ignoring pleas and counseling, he moved closer, prompting her to leap. With the help of two others, Manjot succeeded in pulling her to safety, averting a tragedy.
Following this act of bravery, Manjot received recognition and honors from the Sikh community in Delhi. Manjit Singh GK, former president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), pledged support for Manjot’s civil services exam preparation, covering all expenses.
Meanwhile, ‘Animal,’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, premiered on December 1, featuring an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra.
