Post Animal’s success, there was an official announcement of the film’s sequel Animal Park. Bobby Deol who was recently presented the Best Actor in a Negative Role award at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards, opened up about the film’s sequel. Without revealing much the actor shared, “Everybody knows Sandeep Reddy Vanga is making another film which is going to take time.”
Sandeep Vanga and Bhushan Kumar have joined forces to bring forth the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster movie Animal. Taking to T Series official page, the news was shared, “It’s a partnership built on trust, fueled by creative freedom, and fortified by an unbreakable bond. Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director #SandeepReddyVanga unveil the next cinematic wonders—Prabhas’ Spirit, Animal Park, and an Allu Arjun saga—the chapters that follow the monumental success of Kabir Singh and #Animal.” Details of other projects were also shared.
Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film shows Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father (played by Anil Kapoor). However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father. His unhealthy relationship with his father also impacts his bond with his wife, essayed by Rashmika Mandanna. Bobby played a cold-blooded antagonist in Animal who challenges Ranbir Kapoor’s character.
Animal released on December 1. The film minted over Rs 1000 crores at the box office.
