Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, who worked with Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, has praised his controversial film Animal. The diva lauded filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga for “how well he drafted” the movie’s female characters and said that they had the “juiciest” parts.

Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s action thriller Animal, which was released last year in December, continues to get polarising reviews. While some question the film for its portrayal of masculinity, others laud the vision of the Kabir Singh filmmaker. Joining the second category is actress Nargis Fakhri, who was “truly impressed” after watching the controversial flick.
The Housefull 3 actress was talking about the directors she would like to work with when she mentioned Vanga.
Talking about Animal, Nargis said, “I love how the character was sketched for Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The way he explored alpha energy was truly impressive! And look at how well he drafted characters for even the females of his film. Even though they weren’t ‘lead’, they had the juiciest parts too!”
She went on to talk about ace filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani and Kabir Khan. The Rockstar actress said, “Other than him, I feel Rajkumar Hirani’s films like Munna Bhai MBBS and Sanju are like a breath of fresh air that’s loaded with light-hearted moments and with the way his films strike a chord with the audience is truly admirable. Lastly, I’d also like to work with Kabir Khan and his thoughts on high-octane action films like Ek Tha Tiger. I admire his passion for storytelling and how it elevates every scene.”
The Ranbir Kapoor starrer also featured Bobby Deol, Saurabh Sachdeva, Suresh Oberoi, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor and others. The female star cast included Rashmika Mandanna who played Geetanjali, wife of Ranvijay Singh (played by RK), and Triptii Dimri as Zoya Riaz (Bhabhi no 2).
The team is already working on the sequel, which has been titled Animal Park. Vanga had earlier confirmed that he is currently writing the script for the project.
The shooting of Animal Park is slated to begin in 2025.
