Lucknow: In its bid to ease unemployment problem in the state, the UP govt has initiated the process to fill vacant posts in various departments. On Wednesday, the department of animal husbandry and dairy announced that it will soon begin the recruitment and also expedite pending promotions.The department has announced that there are 424 vacancies for veterinary services and 1,083 posts of livestock development officers in the department of animal husbandry. In the department of dairy, there are two vacancies for the post of chief dairy development officers, three for the post of dairy development officers, 26 for senior dairy inspectors and 209 vacancies for state dairy inspectors. In addition to this, posts under Group D will be outsourced.Minister of animal husbandry Dharampal Singh directed officials concerned to release funds allocated for various schemes at the earliest and set targets so that the budget could be utilised properly. Reiterating an order of the chief minister’s office, the minister said that funds for establishing cow protection centres and district schemes should be released promptly. TNN
