World Organization for Animal Health meeting to begin in India


The meeting will also bring together senior officials of regional and international organizations, representatives of the private sector, and private veterinary organizations of the region in New Delhi until November 16.

The conference, organized by the Department of Livestock and Dairy, will facilitate closer contact, active dialogue, and meaningful discussions among delegates, invited experts and key regional partners.

The challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic emphasize the crucial role of scientific expertise in assessing risks at the human-animal-environment interface, the Indian Ministry of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairying said in the event’s convocation.

The government agency stressed the need to improve the resilience and capacity of Veterinary Services to meet future challenges, and it is expected to be a week to foster discussions and build essential networks.
