Also starring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna along with Triptii Dimri, Animal made its way to theatres on 1st December. It did wonderfully at the box office and emerged as the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. The original plan by makers was to release Animal on streaming giant Netflix on 26th January 2024. However, co-producer Cine1 Studios Pvt Ltd has now approached the Delhi High Court requesting a stay on the film’s OTT release as well as satellite broadcast. The production house is claiming that they were not paid a single penny and have accused the other producers of breaching the contract.
