Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is always known for her outspoken nature. Speaking about how content is emerging in terms of storytelling during an interview to a media organisation, Vidya spoke about the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal, and what worked in favour of the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial.
Describing that ‘conviction is the name of the game’ Vidya said that we can have great content that can be told unconvincingly.
Animal filmmakers not second guessing’
“Animal is the greatest example of that; I did not mean that it’s not good content but what I mean is that the filmmakers were not apologetic or second guessing what the audiences want while telling the story. They said and narrated the story unabashedly and look at the way it worked,” Vidya Balan shared, adding that people have just connected to it (Animal movie).
Vidya Balan further added that it’s the conviction with which the Animal story was told that it did not let the people’s attention drop for a second. Stating that the film was gripping throughout, she said that one may agree with something or not but that it was a fact that the film was extremely gripping and entertaining. Times have changed and Animal filmmakers were ‘unapologetic’ with the way the film was made, the actress added.
