HARRINGTON, Del. – At the Delaware State Fair, there are all kinds of vendors selling food, games, and more but one vendor is offering kids the chance to build their new best friend and take it home with them.
The Make-A-Buddy stand allows kids and adults to choose their stuffed animals, before filling them with fluff on-site.
The owner says the experience of picking their new best friend and helping to make them offers kids a unique twist compared to buying a stuffed animal off the rack and gives them something to remember about the fair.
“The smiles man, the smiles, it’s all about making people smile, having a good time, you know, getting to getting to be hands-on and actually build something yourself that you get to bring home and love already,” said Owner Joe Henseller.
Henseller tells 47ABC the dragons, bears, and pandas have been the most popular so far, and has been thrilled with the success the first year of his stand at the fair is already generating.
