DYK Tishaa Kumar Made Her Last Public Appearance At Animal Screening While Secretly Battling Cancer
Tishaa Kumar, the 20-year-old daughter of T-series co-owner Krishan Kumar, passed away on July 18, 2024, after fighting a prolonged battle with cancer. She was in Germany and had been undergoing treatment for several months. However, Tishaa was a private person, but she made her last public appearance at Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal screening.
Tishaa’s last public appearance
Despite her illness, Tisha remained active and frequently participated in Mumbai’s social and entertainment events. She was last seen in December 2023 at a screening of the T-Series film Animal. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandaana, Triptti Dimri, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor. It was produced by T-Series. Accompanied by her father Krishan Kumar, Tishaa walked the red carpet with poise.
Earlier, she had also attended her mother Tanya Kumar’s song launch, Krishan’s Diwali party in 2023 and other film events in Mumbai.
For the unversed, She was the first cousin of well-known personalities in the entertainment industry, including producer Bhushan Kumar, singer Tulsi Kumar, and actress Khushali Kumar. Her family’s deep roots in the industry made her a familiar face at numerous events.
Tishaa’s prayer meet and official statement of T-Series
The funeral took place on Monday, July 22, in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebrities had arrived at the crematorium to perform the last rights of Tishaa Kumar. Bhushan Kumar, Saiee Manjrekar, Khushali Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Jaaved Jaaferi, Tulsi Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Farah Khan, Sajid Khan and Vivek Agnihotri were seen paying their last respects at Vile Parle Crematorium
Earlier, a statement was issued informing about the death of Tishaa Kumar. It read, “Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged battle with an illness. This is difficult time for the family, and we kindly request that the family’s privacy be respected.”
