Animal: Triptii Dimri REVEALS What Ranbir Kapoor Told Her Before Their Intimate Scenes | Exclusive

Triptii Dimri is easily one of the biggest newsmakers of 2023. The actor may have had a small role in Animal but she has become the talk of the town and an instant media sensation. Her scintillating chemistry and intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in the film grabbed a lot of attention, which in turn led her Instagram follower base to shoot up exponentially. For the internet, Triptii is the latest national crush of India and is often referred to as ‘Bhabhi 2’ (as she was in Animal) by fans and paparazzi alike.

As 2023 comes to a close, we revisit Triptii’s thoughts on working with Ranbir, whom she often talks about having a crush on. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, when asked if she told Ranbir about her admiration and infatuation towards him, she told us, “I was so nervous around him (laughs). I only told him that he’s my favourite actor.”

She also lauded him for being an extremely supportive co-actor, especially during the shoot of the intimate scenes in the song, Pehle Bhi Main. “It really helps when you’ve a co-actor you can count on so much. You’ve to be comfortable performing those scenes. Sandeep (Reddy Vanga) sir, Ranbir and the DOP told me, ‘Every time you’re uncomfortable, you just have to let us know and we’ll make sure that that you don’t’,” Triptii remarked.

The Bulbbul and Qala actor further continued, “It’s really important that you’re in an environment where people respect you as a person, your choices and what you’re doing at that particular moment and make it only about that and not anything else.”

The 29-year-old went on to reveal that she ‘didn’t feel awkward’ or felt the need for someone to ‘guide’ her through it. “That scene was taken as lightly as any other scene in the film. They weren’t making a big deal out of it. We did it exactly the way we did other scenes. My comfort was taken care of. It was a part of the story,” she said. Talking about how she also didn’t feel the need for an intimacy coordinator on set, she added, “As long as you’re comfortable with your co-actors and directors, it shouldn’t matter. But some people need them. It depends from person to person.”

With Pehle Bhi Main garnering more and more eyeballs, Triptii remains ‘overwhelmed’ with all the love coming her way. “I was very nervous on the first day. I knew the film would do well but I wasn’t expecting this kind of a response for Zoya. I thought, ‘It’s a small role and it will come and go.’ But I wasn’t expecting to receive so much love or even be noticed. I haven’t been able to sleep,” stated the actor, who continues to remain a talking point for reportedly being roped in to play the female lead in Aashiqui 3.
