Animal hit the big screens on December 1, garnering a spectrum of reviews from both audiences and critics, who expressed concerns about its alleged endorsement of violence and misogyny. Despite the mixed reception, the film proved to be a massive success, emerging as one of the top-grossing films of 2023 and achieving blockbuster status in both Indian and international box offices. The overwhelming success paved the way for the confirmation of a sequel, aptly titled Animal Park, which was announced earlier.

The producers announced its release on Netflix India on Republic Day, January 26. Apart from the Hindi version, Animal will also be accessible in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada on the OTT platform.
Expressing his thoughts on the OTT release, Ranbir Kapoor said in a statement, “We are thrilled by the reception Animal received in theatres, and now I am pleased that audiences worldwide will have the opportunity to watch it from the comfort of their homes. The chance to showcase our work on a global scale is truly significant.”

Boasting a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri, the film is helmed by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal is an action drama. It explores the intricacies of modern-day relationships, focusing on the toxic equation between a father and son, played by Anil and Ranbir respectively.
Rashmika plays Ranbir’s girlfriend, whom he marries, while Triptii appears as his affair. Bobby is a merciless gangster in the film.
