Exclusive! Is Animal Garnering 20 Times More Sales Than Sam Bahadur And Getting 70 Per Cent Screens?

Animal has opened a big lead in advance booking sales compared to Sam Bahadur

Comparisons are unfair but inevitable. The clash of Animal Vs Sam Bahadur has been the talk of the town since morning, but surprisingly has not been reported yet. We are talking about the ticket sales that have been happening at the theatre windows. The advance booking in certain pockets has opened and Animal has recorded 20 times more the number of tickets compared to Sam Bahadur.

Of course, this is not the final verdict on the collections that will be eventually recorded but so far the update that is coming in is highly tilted in favour of the Ranbir Kapoor film. Take this: This morning, at a given instant, for the opening Friday, PVR Inox has sold 43000 tickets for Animal and 2100 tickets for Sam Bahadur. On the other hand, Cinepolis sold 9500 tickets for Animal to 500 tickets for Sam Bahadur. These figures have a multiplicative factor of approximately either 19 or 20.

We have also heard that the makers of Sam Bahadur have tried to get an equivalent number of screens, but so far the exhibitors have planned to give them a 30 per cent share while Animal will get a 70 per cent share.
