In the movie, the actor played a short role but left enough impact that the audience could not stop praising him. In several interviews, the actor talked about his long wait for recognition and how it has given him a lot more than he could have expected.
Recently, when Bobby was exiting the Mumbai airport without any body guards, he was mobbed by fans who wanted to take a selfie with the actor. Deol reacted to the fans with a smile, as he was loving the attention.
In Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’, Bobby plays the character, Abrar, who is married thrice. Earlier, in an interview with Galatta Plus, Vanga explained why he chose this character to be a Muslim and said he has seen people say that when they enter a zone of zero confidence, people will come and say to them, ‘Go to a church or go to a baba; he’ll give some taweez; change your name.’ He has seen people change their religion because so much has happened to them. At a low point, they feel like it’s a new birth; it’s a complete change of identity. They see a lot of people converting to Islam and Christianity; they never see anybody converting to Hinduism. So, he thought he would use this because people can get multiple wives in Islam. He can have multiple cousins with different faces; the drama will be bigger. That’s the only reason. There was no intention to show a Muslim in a bad light.
