According to Atlanta News First, Miss Peaches was among 27 dogs rescued from horrendous living conditions in Atlanta weeks ago. LifeLine Animal shelter facilitated the rescue of the animals, whom they found in a dire hoarding and neglectful situation that no animal deserves to be in.

Thanks to the efforts of the Atlanta-based shelter, these 27 dogs found a second chance at life.

Portnoy’s heartwarming decision to adopt Miss Peaches highlights how crucial animal rescue and rehabilitation are. Through these large-scale rescues, dozens of abused animals get to experience a fresh start at life.

The good news doesn’t end there. Besides being a special addition to Portnoy’s family, Miss Peaches is now part of a great cause. Interestingly, Portnoy has made the lovely pup the face of Barstool’s charitable initiative aimed at helping other needy animals.

Portnoy announced they’ve released Miss Peaches merchandise and they will channel all profits from the sale of the merch to the LifeLine Animal shelter.

The Barstool Sports president’s tweet read:

“Miss Peaches was rescued along with 26 other dogs from a hoarding/breeding/neglect situation in Atlanta a couple weeks ago. We are donating 100% of profit from Miss Peaches merch to Atlanta based Lifeline Animal Project who saved Miss Peaches life. The shirts and hoodies are available in the Barstool store.”

Miss Peaches now not only has a new loving family after enduring a life of neglect, but is also at the forefront of supporting the same animal shelter that rescued her. Talk of a happy ending!
