I am so excited to share the cover of my next book with you!
Bark! The Science of Helping Your Anxious, Fearful, or Reactive Dog will be out on 1st October 2024 in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and on 17th October in the UK).
Just look at this gorgeous cover! I am so lucky to have the same designer for all three of my books’ covers, Belle Wuthrich, and I think she has excelled herself with this one. I love it sooooo much!
Out of all of my books, Bark! is the one that is closest to my heart. I wanted to write something that would help the fearful and anxious dogs, that is full of practical tips, and that is evidence-based just as Wag and Purr are.
And, of course, that takes into account what it is like for the dog’s guardian too, because caring for a fearful dog can sometimes feel so hard.
In Bark!, I share stories of my own pets and explain the science of how to care for a fearful or reactive dog, including how you can apply the science at home.
I’m also beyond thrilled that the book has a beautiful foreword by one of my favourite dog writers, Cat Warren, author of the NYT-bestseller, What The Dog Knows.
I really hope that this book will make a difference to fearful dogs and to their families too.
Bark! is available for pre-order now from all good bookstores and my Amazon store.
Pre-orders help authors because they let retailers know that people are interested in the book, and in turn that can help to create buzz around a book. They also help the publisher know how many copies to print. Put simply, pre-orders help books to succeed. Typically, when you pre-order a book you don’t pay for it until it arrives or ships.
If you’d like to pre-order, the best way to do so is via your local independent bookstore or wherever you like to get your books.
If you prefer to borrow books from your local library, you can suggest the book to your library. Often they have an online book suggestion form, or you can ask the librarian when you’re there.
Thanks for your interest in Bark! Let me know what you think of the cover.
