Tennessee offensive lineman Javontez Spraggins was prepared for some fun trash talk after the Volunteers’ 40-13 victory against LSU on Saturday. Immediately after the game, Spraggins ran to the sideline and asked, “Where’s my stuffed animal?” according to Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel.

He was then handed a stuffed tiger, which he happily cradled under his arm as LSU fans filed out of the stadium.

It wasn’t the first time that Spraggins used a stuff animal to troll the opposing team this season, as he also brought a stuffed alligator for Tennessee’s wins against Florida.

The Volunteers scored 20 unanswered points to start the game and never looked back from there. Javontez Spraggins and the offensive line were a major part of the win, paving the way for Tennessee to rush for 263 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, quarterback Hendon Hooker was not sacked once as he finished 17-of-27 passing for 239 yards and two touchdowns.

The victory improved Tennessee to 5-0 (2-0 SEC) on the season, while LSU fell to 4-2 (2-1). But that undefeated record will be in serious jeopardy next week when the Volunteers face No. 1 Alabama at home.

Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday in Knoxville.

No. 8 Tennessee blasted No. 25 LSU on Saturday 40-13, running away from the Tigers from the opening kickoff. And the Volunteers, who traveled in numbers to Death Valley, wasted little time trolling the Tigers after the win.

The official Tennessee Twitter account rubbed a little dirt into the open wound for LSU.

“FIVE AND EAUX,” the Volunteers tweeted, riffing on the classic Cajun spelling of words ending with an ‘O’ sound.

Tennessee previously knocked off No. 17 Pittsburgh in Week 2, then took down No. 20 Florida in front of ESPN’s College GameDay in Week 4. For Hooker and the Volunteers, the 2022 season so far is going according to plan.

“Like I said before, we’re just doing what we’re supposed to do,” Hooker said following the LSU win in an on-field post-game interview. “Throughout the week we always was preaching we’re going to be in a hostile environment so we’ve got to lock in a little bit more. Per usual, just encouraging my guys to give it their all every down.”
