Bobby Deol’s entry scene from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has gone viral. His character is introduced dancing to an Iranian song Jamal Kudu. The internet has been vibing to the song since the action drama film arrived in theatres. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Bobby Deol opened up about the making of the scene.

Opening up about what went down while filming for the entry scene, Bobby Deol revealed, “I still remember, Sandeep [Reddy Vanga] had already found the music, a Persian song and he said that it will be played during my introduction, it’s a wedding sequence so it required dancing. When I started enacting it, he said, ‘I don’t want the feel of Bobby Deol. I want you to do something different. So Saurabh [Sachdeva] who plays my brother showed me some steps.”

Sharing that the step was improvised, he said, “I remembered when I was a kid, I used to Punjab and all the male members would drink and put a glass on their heads and start dancing. So I thought that would be amazing for this character to do. I did it and it became so viral. The song has gone viral and the step just blended into it. The song is all about rejoicing, it doesn’t really matter how you dance. It’s about being happy in the moment.”

Animal which features Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and others, is currently in theatres.
